James Segura - Physical Education, Leadership

I graduated from Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington. I graduated from Central Washington University with a bachelors in sociology and a master’s in physical education, athletic administration. I earned my teaching certificate through Saint Martin’s University. I also played two seasons of football at Central Washington University.

I began teaching PE and Health at Capital High School. I taught Health at Centralia Middle School. Here at Centralia High, I teach Physical Education, Strength Training, and Conditioning Exercises. I love teaching PE because I get to model positive attitude, effort, and teamwork. I believe nurturing these three qualities in my students will help them perform at a high level in any of their future endeavors. 

I have a wife and four children. I am the oldest out of my four brothers. My father is African American, and my mother is Mexican. I coach track for Centralia Middle and High School My hobbies are exercising, traveling, playing music, and playing recreational sports.
