Curriculum Adoptions
District Policy and Procedures
School district courses and core instructional materials are reviewed to ensure their ongoing alignment with state law, teaching and learning standards, and research-based best practices. The following board policy and procedures guide the district in this process. Our school board has authority over these policies and they are reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with state law.
3th-6th Grade Reading
A team of educators from our five elementary schools are reviewing curriculum options for potential adoption in the Spring 2026. This team includes 3-6th grade level teachers, Instructional Facilitators, Special Education and Multilingual teachers, and Administration.
In the coming months, the team will review the materials using multiple rubrics to verify alignment with state learning standards and enable all students to master the skills and knowledge to be successful.
Community and Staff Open House Materials Review Night: Tuesday, March 3rd 6:00 - 8:00pm
at District Office Boardroom. Please join us to review these materials and provide feedback.
Curriculum Being Reviewed: The team looked into a number of reading materials and narrowed the list to the following materials to be researched and tested further. These materials must be aligned with state standards and represent current research on effective reading strategies to move further in the review process.

A team of educators from our high school and middle school are reviewing the current adopted curriculum for potential continued use and may review materials to add to current adopted materials. The team will use multiple rubrics to verify alignment with state learning standards and enable all students to master the skills and knowledge to be successful. Updates will be posted in the future.
This spring our adoption teams will make a recommendation to the Instructional Materials Committee for potential final approval request going to the board of directors for official adoption consideration. Both of these adoption efforts are funded with levy dollars.
Citizen Access to View Core Materials
Members of the community may review any core instructional materials in current or proposed use. Such review may be accomplished at the school, in the district office, or online. The review process should be arranged in a way to avoid disrupting the educational program. The review of core materials is undertaken with the knowledge of district objectives in mind.
Please contact the Teaching and Learning Department if you would like to review instructional materials.
