Centralia Rotary Club and Centralia School District Announce Dr. Lindsay Schwarz-Davenport Named 2026 Distinguished Alumni of the Year
Dr. Lindsay Schwarz-Davenport, a leading neuroscientist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, has been selected as Centralia High School’s 2026 Distinguished Alumni of the Year.
After graduating from Centralia High, Dr. Schwarz-Davenport earned degrees from the University of Washington and UC San Diego, followed by postdoctoral research at Stanford University. Her groundbreaking work has earned national recognition, including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
Dr. Schwarz-Davenport credits her passion for science to her time at Centralia High School, where an advanced biology class first sparked her curiosity and gave her hands-on experience in research. She continues to express deep gratitude for the support and encouragement she received from her hometown community.
She will be honored during the 2026 Alumni Recognition events:

January 26, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. – Reception and award presentation in the Centralia High School Performing Arts Center

January 27, 2026 – Recognition during halftime of the Boys Basketball game
All alumni are invited to join in the celebration and come down to the court during the halftime recognition.
